This tutorial will teach you how to set up an automation in Zapier for when a new member is added to Circle. The first automation will add a tag to the member's email address in ConvertKit and will launch the email sequence you set up in the previous step. The second automation will send a Slack message to a designated channel so your team can promptly welcome new members to your community as they join.

Create a new Zap by clicking the ‘Make a Zap’ button → Set the Trigger to ‘New Member Added’ in Circle from the dropdown → Set the Action as ‘Add Tag to Subscriber’ in ConvertKit and choose your new community tag.

New member in Circle sends you a message in Slack

Create a new Zap by clicking the ‘Make a Zap’ button → Set the Trigger to ‘New Member Added’ in Circle from the dropdown → Set the Action as ‘Send Channel Message’ in Slack and customize the channel and message.
