Glide apps now offer support for Airtable. You’ll need a Glide account, an Airtable Account, your Airtable API key and an idea for a web or mobile app!
Create or open your Glide account. Click on New Project, name your project and select either a Glide App or Glide Page. Select Airtable and then follow instructions to enter your Airtable API key and click connect.
Select the appropriate Airtable base to use for your mobile or web app and then click Create App.
🚨 Note: All the tables and data in your Airtable base will come over into your app as databases and subsequently navigation tabs. While you can hide these databases, consider the data needed for the app as you build your Airtable base. Glide encourages you to keep one view with all raw data (no filters or customizations) to avoid any blank rows of data. See Glide documentation here
A few things to keep in mind when using the Airtable Integration with Glide
- At the time of this recording, there is no way to disconnect or add an additional Airtable account from within Glide. Reach out to Glide support for issues.
- At the time of this recording, Airtable Button field types are not supported in Glide.
- At the time of this recording, Glide cannot create new fields in Airtable. This means if you create a new field in Glide it will not sync to Airtable.
- At the time of this recording, links in Airtable will come to Glide as relations and are not able to configure in Glide.
